Police found Michael Gillegbower, 31, at about 10:15 p.m. Saturday in front of a building on East 10th Street between Avenues B and C with several stab wounds to his torso, cops said.An unidentified 28-year-old man — who had been stabbed in the back — was taken into custody and brought to NYC Health + Hospitals/Bellevue. He was listed in stable condition.On Sunday, a pool of blood still stained the pavement outside the building.
“There was a pool of blood in the street — I could see it from my window,” he said. “I’ve never seen anything like this happen before on this block. It’s a quiet block.”Michael DaltonA friend of the deceased stood near his death scene on Sunday, weeping.“Michael was a really good person. He fixed bikes, he loved riding bikes around,” the pal added. “I’ve known him my whole life — this is just crazy.
