Quentin Grimes was a no-go for the Knicks in Game 4 against the Cavaliers.
Cavaliers coach J.B. Bickerstaff didn’t believe the Knicks lost much in the lineup switch from Grimes to Hart, who averaged 11.7 points, 6.7 rebounds and 1.3 steals off the bench in the first three games.
“I think what he does at an elite level is he impacts winning,” Bickerstaff said. “I think, however he does it, he figures out a way to help his teams. Some nights it’s taking chargers, some nights it’s making shots. Back in Game 1, he hits the big pull-up 3 for him. He just has a way of impacting the game in a positive way for his team. That’s a credit to him as a player, but what you have to do is you have to make it as difficult as you can and understand where he hurts you the most.
“Because the intangibles, he’s going to typically do those things. So you know if you can keep him out of the stat sheet, I think that’s the way to impact him the most.”Share this article:
