“There were two times that I thought we had offers on the table before the season, and then around, I think December or January, they [the Mavericks] looked the other way. ... They had every right in the world to do so. I don’t blame them for making any business decisions. That’s on them.”Brunson was selected by the Mavericks in the second round of the 2018 NBA draft, and his role grew with the team every season over the next four years.
In his first season with New York, he has already surpassed his own career-highs in all of those statistical categories, making his mark with the Knicks on near-All-Star levels.to the place where his NBA career began.
