The 24-year-old was with the team earlier this year as he was included on their training camp roster but was waived two days later on Oct. 9. His signing continues a steady slew of secondary moves made by the organization. They agreed to a standard deal with Ariel Hukporti and came to terms with Matt Ryan, as well.
The 6-foot-2 guard was a standout at Northwestern, setting a new career scoring record while guiding the Wildcats to consecutive NCAA Tournaments. He averaged 18.9 points, 5.2 assists, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.3 assists last season, earning the Lefty Driesell Defensive Player of the Year Award. The Albany, NY native also earned First-Team All-Big Ten honors in each of the last two seasons.
He went undrafted in the spring and spent some time on the Phoenix Suns’ Summer League roster, where he averaged nine points, two assists, and 1.4 rebounds across five exhibition games.
