The price drop is the biggest of its kind at Kmart since 2017, with 1000 items dropping in price.
"We've got sheets, we've got sheet sets, we've got cookware, we've got kids socks, we've got toys, we've got home storage, just everyday items that every Australian family uses every single day," Freer said.READ MORE:"We know customers are really struggling. "The costs are going up right across the board and we're just so proud of being able to offer this to customers when they need it most."Kmart have done a price drop on their four piece cooking set. "We've got a really unique business model which means our incredible scale and the fact that we design most of what we sell in-house means that we can offer them at the lowest prices," she said.Kmart strikes a balance between maintaining a lifestyle and budget.
"Kmart's been very successful over the last decade repositioning itself as a value retailer," Mortimer said. "It has global buying power and it enables them to sort of cut those prices and to respond to those families that are doing it tough."
