KLUANG: The police are on the hunt for a 27-year-old Myanmar national believed to be the main suspect of a murder case at a fruit farm here.
Kluang OCPD Asst Comm Bahrin Mohd Noh said the police received a call from Enche Besar Hajjah Kalsom Hospital about the death of a Myanmar national in his 30s at about 12.55am on Saturday ."According to the victim's wife, the suspect had an argument with her husband and was stabbed with shears used to cut down tree branches.
"The fight was believed to be due to dissatisfaction of the suspect of the close relationship the victim had with their employer," he said in a statement here. He added following the incident, which took place at a workers’ quarters at the farm, the victim was rushed to hospital by his friend. ACP Bahrin said the police arrested two foreign men in their 30s and 40s between 5pm and 9pm on the same day to assist investigations under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder."We urge those with information on the incident to reach out to the police to assist in the probe," he said.
