KL hotels at single-digit occupancy rate under MCO

Popular tourist spot in Bukit BIntang has fallen quiet since the movement control order was imposed. HOTELS in the capital have seen an 80% drop in revenue, and an occupancy rate between 5% and 8% since the start of the movement control order , said the Statistics Department. Among resorts and budget hotels, a 40% to 45% drop in revenue was recorded, while homestays and rest houses expected a 30% to 54% slash in earnings.
