KKM semak semula keperluan sebenar tenaga kerja kesihatan, kata Zaliha

Menteri Kesihatan Dr Zaliha Mustafa berkata KKM akan menjalankan satu kajian baharu tahun ini untuk menyemak semula keperluan sebenar negara bagi pelbagai kategori sumber manusia untuk kesihatan. – Gambar fail The Malaysian Insight, 13 Jun, 2023.

“Dengan ini taburan dan keperluan anggota kesihatan untuk seluruh negara dapat dipetakan dan diunjurkan dengan jelas,” katanya dan menambah KKM akan terus berbincang dengan Jabatan Perkhidmatan Awam bagi memastikan dasar dan perancangan kesihatan yang dirangka adalah bertepatan dengan keperluan rakyat.

Mengenai keputusan JPA menghentikan tajaan dalam bidang perubatan, pergigian dan farmasi, Dr Zaliha berkata ia merupakan dasar terdahulu yang dibuat berpandukan dapatan suatu kajian oleh KKM yang menunjukkan unjuran bekalan pegawai perubatan akan mengalami kelebihan bekalan mulai 2026 hingga 2030. Beliau berkata perancangan tenaga kerja kesihatan secara efektif harus mengambil kira keperluan kesihatan yang dinamik akibat pertambahan penduduk, penuaan masyarakat, peningkatan beban penyakit dan juga kesiapsiagaan dalam menghadapi bencana kesihatan.
