KKCCCI hails Bank Negara’s move to maintain 3pc OPR rate

The decision to maintain the overnight policy rate (OPR) at three per cent by Bank Negara Monetary Policy Committee would help stabilise prices and sustain economic growth, according to KKCCCI.

In supporting the bank’s decision, Kota Kinabalu Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Datuk Michael Lui said it also a good news for companies and individuals who borrow from banks.According to Michael, the said measure is correct monetary move simply because it is crucial to support the government in stabilising prices to curb inflation and increase operating costs as well as to focus on sustained economic growth.
