A tiny brown tabby kitten, named Evergreen, was discovered hiding in a Christmas tree lot in San Diego, California. Veterinarian Alexis Siler, who found the kitten, contacted the Helen Woodward Animal Center for help. The center provided the kitten with medical care, food, and a temporary foster home. Evergreen is now 8 weeks old and thriving, and will be available for adoption in the new year.

Siler jumped into action and contacted her colleagues at the Helen Woodward Animal Center, where staff ensured the kitten, who was suffering from an intestinal parasite, received fluids and food. They also arranged medical exams and treatment and contacted potential foster families.as a nod to the tree in which she was found. Evergreen, who is now 8 weeks old, is currently living with auntil a forever family adopts her.
