KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 2 — Malaysian artists are in need of platforms to showcase their work, from newcomers to industry veterans. 2023 aims to showcase the works of students and local artists this Merdeka season with a theme of sustainability.
“For us, it’s not about profit, but about purpose. Every project we embark upon extends beyond the frame,” she said. There is also the Affordable Art Showcase with over 100 accessible creative expressions at budget-friendly prices, catering to a wide audience’s artistic appreciation. Also featured at KOAF are outdoor installations skewed towards Sustainability/Conservation by education institutions Aswara, UiTM and Malaysian Institute of Art.
