TV presenter Kirstie Allsop has expressed her gratitude to the FA for giving her a ticket to watch England beat Norway 2-1 in the nail-biting quarter-final. She managed to bag a seat right in front of Sir David Beckham and his family after being given a last-minute ticket by football chiefs for the Miami match.

She managed to bag a seat right in front of Sir David Beckham and his family after being given a last-minute ticket by football chiefs for the Miami match. Kirstie's love of football came from meeting the late Sir Bobby Robson, when he was touring India while manager of Dutch giants PSV and she was teaching English in India with her best friend Claire.
She said that the manager of the local hotel asked them to entertain some footballers, and it was just a few months after the Italy World Cup and he and his players were absolute gentlemen. Kirstie described Saturday night's win as 'magical', saying that it was her first international game and it was a fantastic experience.
She added that she had been at her holiday home in the Bahamas, watching England's dramatic 3-2 round of 16 win over Mexico in the in Azteca stadium and 'just had to be in Miami'. She stood up and her family thought she was mad, saying 'I have to go, I have to be there,' and thankfully her friend who is on the board of the FA, said would you like to come as my guest.
Kirstie was a guest of Debbie Hewett, the FA's first woman president, and who is also a FIFA vice president, as well as being a lifelong Liverpool fan. She added that Debbie is the most fascinating woman, extraordinary, so committed and so interesting, and that was an immense privilege.
Kirstie said that the FA are an amazing organisation and do so much behind the scenes and to be part of the Miami match was such a brilliant moment - and there was a bit of glamour as she was right in front of the Beckhams, which was great. She also mentioned that she wore her lucky Victoria Beckham lipstick, the whole way through and it was so hot, we were all feeling the heat, so you had a feeling of what the players were going through.
Kirstie added that she couldn't believe how many Norwegians were there; there must have been around 8,000 and there are 5 million in the country. After the game she went home and watched the Argentina - Switzerland game and she has a soft spot for the Swiss and when they equalised, she was so excited, but it didn't happen and so now it's Argentina in the semi-final
