The appearance of Captain Kirk's USS Enterprise-A in Star Trek: Picard season 3 hinted at what was to come with Star Trek: Legacy's Enterprise-G.
The appearance of Captain James T. Kirk's USS Enterprise-A in Star Trek: Picard season 3 was a sly foreshadowing of the USS Enterprise-G as the hero ship of Picard's proposed spinoff, Star Trek: Legacy. Picard season 3 was set on the USS Titan-A commanded by the late Captain Liam Shaw . The Titan was a Constitution III Class starship that was eventually commanded by Shaw's First Officer, Commander Seven of Nine at the end of Picard season 3.
SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT The USS Enterprise-A debuted at the end of Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home as a replacement for the original Starship Enterprise, which was destroyed. The Enterprise-A was a reward for Captain Kirk , who saved Earth from destruction in Star Trek IV: The Voyage Home.
Along with Kirk's Enterprise-A, the remodeled USS Titan-A itself was also another clue that it would become the new Enterprise. The previous Titans were Shangri La and Luna Class starships, but the Titan-A was turned into an upgraded Constitution Class vessel. At first, it seemed like the Titan-A was simply designed to evoke the Starship Enterprise, but it was always meant to become the next Enterprise.
Star Trek: Picard Season 3 Was Always The Origin Of The Enterprise-G When the full scope of Star Trek: Picard season 3 is seen clearly, it's evident that along with being the final chapter in the story of Star Trek: The Next Generation, Picard season 3 was simultaneously the origin of the Enterprise-G and its Captain, Seven of Nine.
The Titan earned its stripes to become the next Enterprise throughout Star Trek: Picard season 3. Simultaneously, Seven rose from a beleaguered First Officer to a true leader whose Titan single-handedly battled an assimilated Starfleet and defended Earth until Picard and the USS Enterprise-D defeated the Borg once and for all.
