Kirby Smart described Auburn as 'one of the hardest places to play in the world'
“Let’s start with this, Auburn is one of the hardest places to play in the world,” he said at SEC Media Days on Tuesday from the Omni Dallas.
“Hugh does a tremendous job motivating his team, he does a tremendous job in the recruiting aspect and as he gets more and more of his players and his style of play in there, which he’s got some guys this year, they’re gonna be a force to be reckoned with,” Smart said. The atmosphere posed even more challenges for the Georgia players. It was quarterback Carson Beck’s first road start, and the crowd may have had a hand in a slow start from Beck and Georgia.
Despite being a heavy favorite going into the game, winning close didn’t take anything away from the win, according to Georgia defensive back Malaki Starks.
