The music will feature ballroom, Latin, swing, and pop tunes from the golden years.
“The former band director had one of these dances a few years ago. He recently retired and so I thought I would try to bring the idea back,” said current band director Dennis Eichler.
Gagliardi later laid down his instrument to focus on his studies and moved to Houston in 1988 to work for Compaq computers. Thirty years later, two of his former Compaq musicians have joined him in the band and will perform on Friday together.
