Kingsway High School's three-time reigning Group 4 state champion field hockey program is now without a head coach after Dana Ott was unexpectedly removed. Ott, who led the team to a 124-16-3 record in six seasons, is the second coach to depart the program in recent months following assistant coach Jennie Hara's resignation in October. The reasons for the coaches' departures remain unclear.

Against in-state opponents, Kingsway went 118-10-3 under Ott and reached the sectional final in every full season.
Ott is the second member of the coaching staff to be removed from a position in the past three months after assistant coach Jennie Hara departed in October. It is unclear whether the two coaches’ departures are related.
