Sacramento is trading forward Harrison Barnes and an unprotected 2031 pick swap to the San Antonio Spurs while shipping guard Chris Duarte , two second-round draft picks and cash to the Bulls, sources told the website.The DeRozan trade gives the Kings a Big 3 of their own in the Western Conference, teaming the veteran with All-Star guard De’Aaron Fox and All-Star center Domantas Sabonis.
He made the All-Star team in the first two seasons with the Bulls and averaged 24 points, 4.3 rebounds and 5.3 assists this past season while also finishing second to Stephon Curry for the NBA’s 2024 Clutch Player of the Year Award. The Kings will be the fourth team for DeRozan who previously was a member of the Raptors, Spurs and the Bulls.The three-time All-NBA selection has an impressive career, averaging 21.2 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.1 assists through his 1,110 career NBA games.As for the Spurs, they bring on the 32-year-old Barnes to bring another veteran presence, along with Chris Paul who signed with the team as a free agent, to play along side Rookie of the Year Victor Wembanyama.
