Peak tide is expected to reach as high as 7.51 feet near the Embarcadero.

King tide events often last for just a couple of days, but this one will be longer than usual, likely lingering through Friday, NWS meteorologist Brooke Bingaman told SFGATE on Sunday. The first of the high tides is expected to arrive in San Francisco at 11:09 p.m. on Tuesday evening, reaching as high as 7.48 feet near the Embarcadero. The peak tide will climb to 7.51 feet in the same area just after midnight on Thursday, while the lowest tides will plummet to -1.66 feet at 5:50 a.m.

A reminder that the King Tides arrive this week that could result in localized flooding, specifically along the Bay Shoreline during high tide.
