The King's Trust, formerly known as The Prince's Trust, hosted the event at St James's Palace earlier today where the Home Secretary, Culture Secretary, and Idris Elba were among the star guests
The King, Prime Minister and celebrated actor Idris Elba have come together to listen to young people discuss the challenges they face in contemporary Britain.
Participants were urged to continue supporting one another within their communities, and the significance of mentorship was emphasised. Elba, aged 51, commented on the government's response to these issues, stating, "right now is a moment for change not talk". Elba, who received a £1,500 grant from The Prince's Trust as a teenager to attend the National Youth Music Theatre, stated: "I am a product of intervention."
Sir Keir Starmer declared his Government is "utterly determined" to address the issue, adding that the "most important voices around this table are the young people here who have told their experiences".
