King Charles has paid tribute to the great Barry Humphries after the Australian comedy legend died aged 89.
The King has been left “saddened” by the passing of the Australian icon as honours and condolences flood in from dignitaries around the world.
"His audiences were precious to him and he never took them for granted. Although he may be best remembered for his work in theatre, he was a painter, author, poet and a collector of art in all forms. Prime Minister Anthony Albanese said Humphries was both “gifted and a gift” in a touching eulogy on Twitter.
