Tiago Cukur and Joshua King have completed their moves to Turkey WatfordFC
King has signed a two-year deal with the Turkish club after leaving Vicarage Road following the Hornets’ relegation from the Premier League, while former Hornets club-mate Cukur has agreed a four-year contract.
The Watford Observer reported earlier this week that Cukur’s move to his homeland was set to be worth up to £1.5million to the HornetsThe 19-year-old, who earned his first full cap for Turkey recently, said: “It is a wonderful feeling for me and my family. I have been a Fenerbahçe fan all my life. A dream come true for me. I am so happy. I can't wait to get started.”
King, who scored five goals in 31 appearances for Watford in the Premier League, said: “Since I was eight years old, my two best friends are Turkish and from Fenerbahce. In fact, someone gave my child a Fenerbahçe jersey three to four years ago and said, 'I hope one day you will wear this jersey too.' said. That day has come. I feel like part of the family too. Hopefully this year we will reach our goals and win more than one trophy.
