Jeon Doyeon's new action film KillBoksoon, which lands on Netflix March 31, has one very important theme in common with her previous romcom, CrashCourseInRomance:
Kill Boksoon is the latest Korean movie to premiere on Netflix, and it also represents acclaimed actress Jeon Do-yeon's first real foray into action. Directed by Byun Sung-hyun , the film centers on a woman named Gil Boksoon who leads a strange double life, volleying back and forth between a single mother of teenage daughter Jae-young and a revered assassin at MK Ent.
Jeon Do-yeon: Crash Course in Romance and Kill Boksoon are two polar opposites but, as you say, they are both about this mom who doesn't know how to talk to her daughter but really wants to get through to her. I think that's the common thread that goes through these two projects.
