Actor Kiefer Sutherland was arrested early on Monday for allegedly assaulting a rideshare driver in Los Angeles, police said.
, the Los Angeles Police Department responded to a call just after midnight reporting the alleged assault and determined the actor physically assaulted the driver and “made criminal threats toward the victim.
” The driver reportedly did not require medical attention after the incident. Sutherland was booked into jail on felony charges, according to inmate records obtained by The Cut, and has since been released on $50,000 bail. He is expected to appear in court on February 2.
