KidZania Manila to stay closed during modified lockdown COVID19Quarantine
MANILA - ABS-CBN Corp said Friday its theme park business Kidzania Manila would remain closed in compliance with the eased lockdown in Metro Manila.
Play Innocations Inc, the franchisee of KidZania Manila, filed a temporary suspension of operations with the Department of Labor and Employment effective June 16 to August 2020 "to manage and mitigate further losses to the business while exploring new revenue solutions," ABS-CBN told the stock exchange.
Kidzania, which provides learning experience for children aged 4 to 17, has been closed since March 11, 2020, the statement said. "With the eventual shift to general community quarantine, KidZania Manila will still not be allowed to open during this period," the statement said. Playgrounds and amusement areas remain suspended under the modified lockdown as well as entertainment-related mass gatherings. Children and those under 20 are also advised to stay at home.
