'Kidnapped and drugged' woman kills man near Hill Country winery, Gillespie County officials say.
The Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office is investigating after a woman called 911 to report she had been kidnapped and drugged and that she had shot a man to death near a Hill Country winery. The woman placed the 911 call on Friday, and told officials she had been “kidnapped and drugged and that she had shot someone,” according to a Facebook post from the Gillespie County Sheriff’s Office.
Tourism on steroids’: Eclipse can be economic boon for Hill Country Deputies went to the scene, which was in the 10800 block of U.S. 290 between Fredericksburg and Stonewall, about 70 miles north of central San Antonio. They found the body of a man in a car parked on the highway, according to the sheriff's office. The man was identified as 49-year-old Lance Damon Reid, who was from the Houston area, according to the sheriff's office.
