Musician Kid Rock applauded Donald Trump for his diverse musical taste, which has recently revealed itself at his rallies by the music played there.
Thursday to defend Trump’s song choice at his recent rallies. As a personal friend to the former president, Rock explained that Trump listens to a wide array of music, even while the two play golf. At his rallies, Trump has played the music of Guns N’ Roses, James Brown, Lionel Ritchie, Elvis Presley, and the Rolling Stones, among others.“How cool is it that he’s jamming out to music, having a good time” Rock said.
However, some artists have expressed their disapproval that their songs would be used at Trump’s rallies. After playing the song “Nothing Compares 2 U” by the late Sinead O’Connor at a rally, her estate issued aSimilarly Rhianna threatened legal action after her song “Don’t Stop the Music” played at a 2018 rally. Adele said she didn’t want any of her music played at political events after Trump played her songs “Rolling in the Deep” and “Skyfall” at rallies in 2016.
