A Kick-Ass reboot is currently in the works from Matthew Vaughn, after a decade since the second installment made its theatrical release.
During a recent appearance at the 2023 New York Comic Con, director Matthew Vaughn confirmed that he’s currently developing areboot of his popular superhero franchise. Vaughn also revealed that none of the original characters from the first two installments, including Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Chloë Grace Moretz, would be coming back for the reboot but is hopeful that they’ll return in future installments after the reboot.).
Besides Taylor-Johnson, the Kick-Ass franchise also starred Chloë Grace Moretz as Mindy Macready/Hit-Girl, Christopher Mintz-Plasse as Chris D’Amico/Red Mist, Nicolas Cage as Damon Macready/Big Daddy, Evan Peters as Todd Haynes, Jim Carrey as Sal Bertolini/Colonel Stars and Stripes, John Leguizamo as Javier, Daniel Kaluuya as Black Death, Iain Glen as Ralph D’Amico, and more.Maggie Dela Paz has been writing about the movie and TV industry for more than four years now.
