Kia's latest EV9 recall involves 2,401 examples that must get new impact-absorbing plates for the headliner
The carmaker discovered the issue during pre-production testing of the 2025 EV9 in Georgia. Kia dealerships have been instructed to replace the impact-absorbing plates under the headliner. The recall impacts 2,401 vehicles. Kia has issued the third recall for the 2024 EV9 in the U.S. in the last two months.

Kia became aware of a potential issue on May 25, 2024, during pre-production testing of the 2025 EV9, which recently went into production at Kia’s plant in Georgia.
