kia investit 200 millions en Géorgie pour construire son VUS EV9
Kia va investir 200 millions dans son usine de West Point, en Géorgie, pour lancer la production nord-américaine de son prochain modèle tout électrique, l’EV9.Le projet va nécessiter l’agrandissement de l’usine et l’embauche de 200 travailleurs supplémentaires pour l’assemblage du EV9, à partir de début 2024.
L’EV9 va proposer trois rangées, ce qui promet de séduire plusieurs acheteurs qui attendent ce type de modèles électriques pour effectuer leur transition. Les premiers EV9 ont déjà été livrés le mois dernier, en Corée du Sud. « L’EV9 a le potentiel d’être un nouveau catalyseur de changement pour Kia. Il s’agira du véhicule le plus innovant que nous ayons jamais construit et il se distinguera sur le marché des véhicules électriques, ainsi que sur la route. »
