PETALING JAYA: Former Federal Territories Minister Khalid Abdul Samad says an ex-aide of his has been arrested by police.
"My former political secretary Hj Azli was remanded by the police yesterday over a complaint that an architectural company was given a fake 'DO' by a broker," he said in a Twitter post on Sunday .He added that the"broker" was rewarded for allegedly using the name of his former political secretary.
"I can't say more than that because the case is still under police investigation. I have been told that the broker in question had received millions of ringgit by using the name . The belief that 'cash is king' could have led to him being successful.Earlier, an online portal reported that an ex-minister would be called in for questioning following the arrest of his aide over allegations of bribery.Efforts to contact the police for a statement are still under way.
