"It seems surreal. I think that's kind of how we all feel about the times right now. But it's true, it's our new normal. We're going to have to get used to it, because we're going to see a lot more to come," the singer said. Khalid added that he hopes to get the"confidence" to visit space someday. Hadfield then questioned what the artist would take with him to space if the opportunity presented itself."One of my best friends gave me a crystal for my birthday," Khalid answered."I would take that with me. I really cherish my friends."
The singer previously stated that"New Normal" is about"these new journeys we are taking after experiencing so much change during the pandemic.
