Former Auburn edge rusher Keyron Crawford had a unique way of describing his game when speaking to reporters at the Senior Bowl.Crawford, who spent the past two seasons with the Tigers, is now looking to parlay his success on the Plains to a career in the NFL.
ESPN NFL Draft analyst Mel Kiper Jr. ranked Crawford as the ninth-best outside linebacker in hisHe was one of Auburn’s top pass rushers in 2025, leading the team in pressures with 43, according to Pro Football Focus, and ranked second on the team in sacks with five and a half.. Crawford didn’t start playing organized football until his senior year of high school, but his athleticism and promise earned him multiple Division I offers.“I think about it a lot just because the journey I’ve been through,” Crawford said. “The knowledge of the game hasn’t always been there, and then just having that success that I’ve had in a short time span, like it’s an opportunity and a blessing at the same time.” Crawford spent two seasons at Arkansas State before transferring to Auburn, where he began as a backup in 2024. He made a major jump between his junior and senior seasons, which led him to a captain role and far more draft buzz than before. A lot of that extra NFL attention comes from his activity in 2025 compared to 2024. That’s something Crawford mentioned when talking about the jump between and junior and senior season. “Be a dog, be what they didn’t see last season,” Crawford said. “It’s gonna be hard when you turn on Auburn and not see 24. It’s just gonna be impossible unless you close your eyes.” Crawford hopes that the jump in production can help him earn a spot on an NFL team next season.
