Kevin Durant Will Remain On USAs Olympic Roster Despite Lingering Calf Issue - RealGM Wiretap
Kevin Durant will remain on the United States' Olympic roster despite his continued delay in returning from a right calf strain. Durant was held out of the United States' final exhibition game against Germany on Monday. Steve Kerr had hoped Durant would play in one of their exhibition games.
USA Basketball has until Saturday to finalize the roster, and Durant will be on it. Durant practiced last week and his activity level has ramped up. "There's no thought of replacing Kevin," Kerr said."I was hoping he would get a game in here, but it just didn't work out that way."and is Team USA's leading scorer with 435. points. Durant helped lead the United States to gold in 2012, 2016 and 2021.
