A 75-year-old man was killed by law enforcement on Monday after shooting at law enforcement during a wellness check, according to a Facebook Post from the Kerr County Sheriff's OfficeLaw enforcement officers conducting a welfare check at a Kerr County home shot and killed a 75-year-old man after he fired shots at them, according to the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office.
The shooting occurred Monday near Mountain Home, an unincorporated community about 15 miles north of Kerrville, according to a Facebook post from the Kerr County Sheriff’s Office. Deputies from the sheriff’s office and staffers from the Texas Department of Public Safety and Texas Parks and Wildlife Department responded to a request to check on the health and safety of a person at 161 Dry Creek Trail West, according to the sheriff's office.
