A&M’s Kenyon Green has the ability to play multiple offensive line positions, making him a likely first-round NFL draft pick.COLLEGE STATION — Offensive lineman Kenyon Green is not only a first team All-American but a first-class Texas A&M football historian.
“I’ve dreamed about this,” Green said of hearing his name called during the draft. “And when that comes, hopefully it will go good.” More importantly to NFL brass, Green has time and again shown his best hands over his standout three years while willing to play any position coach Jimbo Fisher required of him.
“It is a lot of practice to work on it — having the right steps and right hand placement and everything that goes with it.” For now, he projects as a guard in the NFL, although teams had him snapping the ball plenty as a center during the Aggies’ annual pro day in March. Sherman, who coached the Aggies from 2008-11, recruited four eventual first-round NFL draft selections on the offensive line from 2013-16: Luke Joeckel, Jake Matthews, Cedric Ogbuehi and Germain Ifedi.
