He made the remarks on Thursday at Mutindwa grounds in Chogoria, Tharaka Nithi County after opening the Chogoria Water supply project. He said it was unfortunate that the opposition had resorted to financing unemployed youth to cause anarchy in the pretence of picketing."We are not going to change Kenya by planning violence and protests. We will change Kenya by having a plan." he said.

Kenya Opposition Vows to Protest for Days After Nairobi ChaosNairobi Senator Edwin Sifuna has hinted at the opposition coalition stepping up its anti-government protests from next week, reports Phidel Kizito for Capital FM. While appearing on a Citizen television live show, Sifuna indicated that their decision was informed by what he said is the President William Ruto's Kenya Kwanza-led administration's lack of listening to Kenyans. Demonstrators on July 12 poured onto the streets to protest over the high cost of living and what they called punitive taxation imposed on Kenyans by the Ruto-led administration.
