Winning will remain a crapshoot until Kenny Pickett and the Steelers’ offense play a complete game, not just a clutch fourth quarter.
There was no holding back receiver George Pickens and Steelers' offense in the fourth quarter out in LA vs. the Rams. But playing just a single quarter of quality offensive football per game isn't a sustainable winning formula for QB Kenny Pickett & Company. In fact, there can be no true turning point for the still-sputtering Steelers' attack until they play a complete game.
Sure, that’s the hope. But far too many Steelers fans and analysts are stating it as fact. Here’s the inconvenient truth… The coach waxed poetic about Pickett’s propensity to be clutch in the fourth quarter, describing it as a key factor in the Steelers selecting the Pitt product at pick 20 in the 2022 draft.
Tomlin’s not the only one praising Pickett. Here, Steelers’ Hall of Fame QB Terry Bradshaw tells Colin Cowherd where to put his Pickett nitpicking: Anybody in their right mind still think Brock Purdy is better than Kenny Pickett.?
