'A Haunting in Venice' Trailer: Kenneth Branagh's Iconic Detective Is Back

One of literature's most recognizable detectives is back on the big screen again, as 20th Century Studios gears up to release A Haunting in Venice in September. Based on the Agatha Christie novel Hallowe'en Party, Kenneth Branagh returns as Hercule Poirot to solve a spooky murder mystery.
Set in post-World War II Venice, A Haunting in Venice brings the legendary Hercule Poirot through an eerie All Hallow's Eve mystery. This time around, the famed the detective has put away his magnifying class, retired and living in a self-imposed exile. However, the mysteries continue to find him when he reluctantly attends a séance at a decayed and haunted palazzo.
The trailer begins as Tina Fey's character talks with Poirot about psychics, noting how many often seem to be nothing more than con artists. Naturally, Poirot holds a healthy dose of skepticism as he eventually agrees to help expose a psychic . However, things take quite the turn during the séance in a scene worthy of a horror movie, but still, Poirot is more focused on the human aspect of the murder, refusing to believe it could be anything but.
