For 8-year-old Emmanuel Lapthi, who goes by Manny, the Museum of Flight is the perfect playground.

With more than 175 aircrafts and spacecrafts, the Museum of Flight is a place to reflect on the past and dream of the future. It's also where Manny became fascinated with all things flight when he was 3 years old. In October, Manny took a very special trip to Kennedy Space Center . Manny went in a space shuttle, met an astronaut and watched a rocket launch.

"I was like, 'Wow,'" Manny said. "My mom said there would be pieces falling and it was really bright.""From the moment that we got to the airport and whisked to the airplane, the captain got to show him the front of the plane. As soon as we arrived, everything at the Kennedy Space Center, we were treated like VIPs," said Catherine Delostrinos, Manny's mom.We definitely take every day of Manny's life as a blessing," Catherine Delostrinos said.

Manny was born with only half of his heart and a condition called Heterotaxy syndrome, where he was born with two right sides of his internal organs. His condition has meant surgery, medicine every day, extra shots and three heart surgeries with the potential for more."Manny now sees his condition as something worth sharing, worth being unique and worth being proud of," Catherine Delostrinos said.
