The San Antonio super lightweight came up short on both counts Friday night in the final of the Last Chance Tournament at the Whitesands Event Center in Plant City, Fla. Castaneda, 28, earned $25,000 as the runner-up after winning two bouts to make it to the final of the eight-man tournament created by former world champion Juan Manuel Marquez of Mexico.
Moran, 29, posted wins by unanimous decision over Jeffrey Torres and Michael Dutchover to reach the final.
