Beberapa minggu lalu, saya menyaksikan upacara pengutusan para Katekis Pembim-bing di paroki. Saya gembira, kerana rakan-rakan saya kira-kira 20 tahun lalu, masih sihat, masih kuat melayani dan matang dalam pelayanan.

Si bapa begitu gembira bernyanyi dan memuji Tuhan di Gereja, tetapi si isteri di rumah, sering menangis dalam diam kerana keletihan dan anak-anak pula, semakin lama semakin nakal. Pelayanan itu baik tetapi jika ia meragut banyak masa ibu bapa sehingga bertegur sapa dengan anak menjadi kurang, maka mungkin kita perlu tegas, bahawa keluarga adalah Gereja kita.

Keluarga Katolik yang tabah, sentiasa bersama dan pantang menyerah merupakan sel masyarakat yang kuat dan berdaya sehingga dapat mewujudkan kesejahteraan bersama .
