Former Trump senior adviser discussed how Independents view Joe Biden Saturday on 'Watters World,' saying they see him as a 'product' of 47 years in Washington.

KELLYANNE CONWAY: Gallup today came out with a poll that showed since June, Joe Biden’s approval rating among Independents has cratered 21 points. Think about that. Just three or four months, it’s gone down 21 points. …

Independents call themselves independent because they’re paying attention to politics, not because they’re not. They refuse to declare allegiance to either party. They declare independence from both parties, and they don’t like Washington. They don’t like politicians to begin with. And they look at Joe Biden now, and they don’t see someone who’s able to leverage 47 years in Washington. They see someone who is a product of 47 years in Washington.

And the Democrats don’t have a messaging problem, they don’t have a messenger problem. They have a fact problem. They’re trying to foist on the rest of us trillions of dollars in spending that, according to the polls, people don’t want. We really should have listened to the Democrats, the 25 who ran against him and didn’t want him to be president. They didn’t think he was up to the task, up to the fight, up to the job. They were right. America doesn’t want Biden now.

What's in, and what's out, as Democrats reshape Biden billWhat's in, and what's out, as Democrats reshape Biden billAfter months of talks, Democrats are edging closer to an agreement on what programs and policies to include in President Joe Biden's massive plan to expand health and safety net programs and combat global warming. The plan seems likely to include universal preschool, paid family leave and the continuation of a child tax credit that was increased earlier this year and applied to more families. Democrats are scaling back some investments or shortening the timeframe for when those programs would be up and running to fit within an approximately $2 trillion budget over 10 years, rather than the $3.5 trillion budget plan originally envisioned.
