On Friday, Ripa shut down social media users accusing her and co-host Ryan Seacrest of looking "shiny" on air since self-isolating. “I don’t care. I have a new outlook on life,” she told Seacrest about the criticism. “Certain things don’t matter any more and my appearance is one of those things that just don’t matter.”
She then shared a message directly to those judging their looks. "First of all, let me just say, to people commenting about our appearance, 'How dare you and you’re lucky that we actually put clothes on,'" she said. "It’s harder than you think to roll out of bed and come to a TV show." After weeks of working from home, the 49-year-old shared she's so over doing her own glam, that she's "this close" to live-streaming the show from her laptop in bed. But she assured fans it won't get to that point. "I keep telling myself, 'You’re a professional and this is still a TV show and the days matter,'" she said of her decision to continue to do the show from her office. "It’s my mantra.
