. A third-round selection of Minnesota’s previous regime in the 2021 NFL Draft, new general manager Kwesi Adofo-Mensah has decided to end the Mond experience. Adofo-Mensah wasn’t involved with drafting Mond. It ultimately means he’s comfortable cutting ties with a former third-round pick.
Mond struggled throughout the preseason, completing 29-of-51 passing attempts for 303 passing yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions. Mond battled inaccuracy woes throughout and turnovers were an issue. The Vikings also traded for veteran quarterbackCompeting franchises may possess an interest in adding Mond to their roster. Mond will be subject to the waiver wire because he’s accrued less than four seasons.
