KALABAKAN: Eksesais Kekar Malindo Siri 46AB/2023 yang berlangsung 11 hari di sini dilihat memberikan impak tinggi dalam mencapai hubungan pertahanan antara Malaysia - Indonesia.
Panglima 5 Divisyen Infantri Malaysia, Mejar Jeneral Datuk Malek Razak Sulaiman berkata, selain memupuk persefahaman tinggi dan kemampuan beroperasi secara gabungan, beliau yakin latihan itu turut meningkatkan hubungan baik kedua-dua negara dalam dunia ketenteraan.“Saya juga percaya sepanjang pelaksanaan eksesais ini, kedua-dua angkatan berpeluang meningkatkan pengalaman dan kemahiran dalam melaksanakan operasi secara gabungan,”katanya.
Eksesais itu melibatkan kekuatan keseluruhan 76 pegawai dan 766 anggota Lain-Lain Pangkat dari kedua buah negara.“Menerusi latihan gabungan ini, mereka berpeluang berkongsi ilmu dan berkenalan dengan sahabat dari negara jiran. Beliau juga amat berpuas hati dengan kesungguhan dan sikap positif ditunjukkan warga 5 Divisyen sepanjang eksesais kerana mempamerkan tahap profesionalisme tinggi, sekali gus menaikkan nama baik negara, khususnya TDM.
