Keith Urban thanked the Athens community after holding an impromptu concert Friday.
Country music star Keith Urban pulled his tour bus into Limestone County for a free pop-up concert, at a gas station of all places.Urban said in a post on his official Facebook page that he visited the location about a month ago and thought it would make a great place for a concert.
“You all exceeded every expectation I could’ve possibly had,” Urban said. “Also want to give a massive shoutout to the entire Buc-ee’s staff for helping us pull this together and being so good to us.” Thank you sooooo much to everyone that came out to Buc-ee's in Athens, AL on Friday ! I visited about a month ago and...While official numbers haven’t been released, crews 48 News had at the event said thousands came out to enjoy the show.
Urban teased the concert about a day before but he didn’t confirm where it was until four hours before the show.
