Dozens of schools in our region will close, go virtual or open late Friday due to snow set to move in overnight. List of schools and latest forecast on the NBC10 app:

"We are not talking about a major storm," NBC10 First Alert Weather meteorologist Glenn"Hurricane" Schwartz.

Governor Phil Murphy also declared a State of Emergency for New Jersey which will go into effect at 10 p.m. Thursday.The snow is expected to develop in most places around midnight. You may get some light snowfall after 9 p.m. in the Lehigh Valley and Berks County, but generally the snow really gets going after midnight throughout the region. Snow will be ending during the Friday morning commute.Notice the widespread snow at 5 a.m.

Neighborhoods in central Delaware and interior New Jersey could get 3 to 6 inches due to bands of heavier snow there.
