Sungai Melaka is no longer murky and brown following the implementation of the MCO.
Attributing it to the implementation of the movement control order , Sulaiman said it was an eye-opener to the damage and destruction that human greed can cause. Sulaiman said the cleaner Sungai Melaka was because activities near and along the river, especially upstream, had been stopped. Sungai Melaka had previously been murky and brownish in colour, with visitors likening the water to teh tarik.
