KAB and the Fort Smith International Film Festival are teaming up to sponsor a student video contest for 9-12 graders.
After being able to compete in a solar eclipse video contest just a few weeks ago, students in northeast Arkansas have one more video contest they can enter, this time competing against the entire state.
The Fort Smith International Film Festival is teaming up with Keep Arkansas Beautiful to allow students to express their creativity. “What it is, is a way for students to engage the environment and show ways of keeping Arkansas beautiful through video,” Brandon Goldsmith, a film festival representative, said.
The 30-second commercial video contest is in its 2nd year and is open to any video. “For the 30-second video contest all they need to do is make a video that follows Keep Arkansas Beautiful’s mission,” Goldsmith said. This contest is open for ninth through 12th grade students with the final deadline in May. “Last year, Keep Arkansas Beautiful engaged over 14,000 students across Arkansas. This is just another way for students to get engaged in ways of helping the environment,” Goldsmith said.
