Kedah not discouraged despite Charity Shield defeat

PETALING JAYA: Usually, after a defeat, teams will be downcast but that’s not the case with Kedah.

Instead of looking at their 0-1 defeat against Johor Darul Ta’zim in the Charity Shield on Feb 28 as a disappointment, Liberian striker Kpah Sherman said it has only boosted their confidence in the Super League campaign.

“We are more optimistic after the JDT game. We definitely had a good game in Johor, but just got unlucky. We have to work on the processes, only hard work can bring us far,” said Sherman. “We are expecting a tough game, but our aim is to win in front of our home fans and get our first three points of the season.”
